Dear UR,
What’s UP?? We really enjoyed talking to you last week. It is freakishly humid here and so I am writing this at home to avoid becoming dehydrated and dissolved if I try it in the car. There is no shade where I lock on to the market’s internet connection. It is funny, that where I park to do my correspondence in Maneadero is where all of the junkies go to wipe cars. Last week while I was emailing, Eddie(remember old Eddie, from L.A.?) walked up to the car and upon seeing the computer screen immediately thought I was monitoring store security and in the midst of some high tech heist of the Maria Luisa. Poor guy is not in touch with this century. He is convinced I have taken to a life of crime.
The new group that we are coming to know, (I will call them the Margarita group, for Margarita seems to be the one in charge), are inching closer and closer. We were able to bless them with ground meat and eggs this week. We have met almost the entire group and have made fast friends with the one guy who can translate. Frank is determined to learn their dialect through him. They have been coming around all week, especially the children who don’t go to the fields. A group of about 30 children, all from the Margarita group, showed up at 7am this morning! I am not a morning person, and it was to the sounds of their sing-song almost asian language, that I awoke to. What a blessing! The children who came with their parents last week are the least fearful and they will now take a candy from me or the kids. The others in the group are extremely shy and it is apparent that they come from deep in the Sierra as they wonder about the electricity, the t.v., and my white skin. Their little feet, unshod, are tough but I can’t help but wince as they walk over rocks and prickly weeds. One little girl had the cute little pink mary-janes we gave her tied together and slung over her little shoulders like a scarf. Really cute. They like to look at the shoes but aren’t real crazy about putting them on their feet! It used to frustrate me, but it is far down on my list of worries at this point!
There is no doubt in my mind that the Lord has great plans for these people, who remain so innocent, completely virginal regarding religion. If these people in the year 2007 only 2 hours from the US Border have NEVER heard of Jesus Christ or the Great I Am, then how many more will perish from a lack of knowledge?
Francisco attended a meeting of the “delegacion”( equivelent of a “town council” meeting to us) of “Las Brechas del Mirador” (the pueblo where the new building is located)on this past Tuesday evening. We were able to pay our share of the bill for the huge pila(cistern) that the pueblo is in the process of building, $1,023.00 pesos, ($120US) praise the Lord. Water will be pumped in from the mountains behind us on three days a week, on the other.days we will draw from water stored in the big pila. Next, we need to kick in for the drainage system. This little pueblo is very rapidly becoming pretty civilized. I am hoping on a phone, a real one, that would enable me to have internet at the building. Anyway , the Board of Directors so to speak who has been chosen. Pastor Francisco has been appointed “Special Counselor” to the Board and he has accepted.
I am actually seeing in the natural the things which the Lord showed me in an open vision approximately 5 years ago. He instructed us to build a building in that pueblo and He showed me many “nations” that would come and eat , spiritually and physically, from the Father’s Hand. Now, we are actually seeing this happen and the fields are white with the Harvest!
Love,
Sis. Deedee
I am sending the cd with movies by US Mail. It should go out Monday.

We need to ask if you will help us buy our kids (Ramon &Marilu) school curriculum. Here is the info on the curriculum we have always used. But anything comparable will work. We have prayed about public school, never really had peace about it though, plus passports are now required and that is currently undoable. I pray this won’t be too big of a burden and I am sorry to have to ask. Please let me know if you can or hey if you could order it and take like $35 a month from support to pay for it that would work , too. The books are better for us than the cds, due to electricity factor. They will both be at 6th grade level. Last year I went without curriculum using books scavenged from here and there, much to their detriment I think. This year we really need the actual curriculum and I have no where else to turn . If you send it to Glenda’s, it will be faster to get here.
They need their basic subjects- Math, English, Science, History and if possible they want to learn Hebrew or Latin.
